Located right off Fairplay Road in the heart of the Fair Play AVA (American Viticulture Area), Element 79 Vineyards is not just a winery, it is a country club for wine drinkers.

With 70 acres of vines, forest, streams, ponds and stunning views a visit to Element 79 Vineyards allows for more than just wine tasting. Hike to our upper vineyard and experience “The Top”. On the way explore the forest and on your way back pause by the pond to view the frequent and many different species of waterfowl. You can even bring your own picnic or arrange for us to have one prepared for you.

Seated Wine Tasting

This experience focuses on the wine and is perfect for guests who want a classic tasting experience without food. Tasting are conducted seated and hosted by our knowledgeable hosts in a comfortable, unhurried atmosphere.

Charcuterie boards are prepared fresh and served during your tasting. This experience is available every day we are open and offers a flexible, casual food option that pairs beautifully with our wines.

Tapas $28 per plate – each plate is sharable and serves one to four.  Choose from a menu of 3 seasonal tapas
 

Our Wine Country Tapas experience is a premium weekend offering that pairs a guided seated wine tasting with seasonal, thoughtfully prepared tapas designed to complement our wines.

In addition to our daily charcuterie and flat bread offerings, this experience features three additional wine‑pairing tapas options, available exclusively on weekends. The menu, created by our Estate Chef Brian Overhauser, changes seasonally and showcases a more elevated food and wine pairing experience.

Selecting this experience lets us know your party intends to order tapas during your visit. Tapas selections are chosen on‑site. Availability is limited each day.

Between the lower and upper vineyards, guests will be given the opportunity to delve into the heart of wine production, seeing first-hand how the finest grapes are cultivated, harvested, and transformed into exquisite wines. Our knowledgeable tour guides will share the history of the estate, fascinating insights into the winemaking process, and even introduce you to the wide range of flora and fauna that call our vineyard home. This immersive journey will offer guests a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art of winemaking, thus enriching the overall tour experience.

A spectacular experience starting in the lower vineyard then progressing up through the forest emerging into the upper vineyard past the ponds and to the top at 2,401 feet elevation where panoramic views elicit expressions of amazement.

Whether it’s for a birthday party, anniversary party, company meeting or just a party, we can accommodate you. Our private tasting room and private patio can be reserved for groups of up to 30.

Q: Can we taste without making a reservation?
A: Yes. Walk-ins are welcome. We encourage reservations for groups of all sizes.

Q: Is there food available for purchase at Element 79?
A: For sure. We offer an elevated tasting of wine country tapas Friday through Sunday. Charcuterie and Flatbread is available all days we are open.

Q: Do you welcome large groups for tastings?
A: Yes, we do! We ask that groups of 8 or more make reservations so we can be prepared to host you.

Q: Do you allow dogs? 
A: Yes, we do! We allow well behaved dogs on leash and off furniture.
